Default I need all the petitions, please!

I am going to be working at Dragoncon, and I thought it would be a good idea to have hardcopies of all the petitions there for people to sign. I first need to get links to all the petitions in this thread, though.

Thanks!

See the Colonial Newsletter at bsgclub.com--Nathan always had a complete list in the newsletter. He had RGrant's Starbuck one too.

Thumbs up

Hi,

Here is the list from BattlestarGalacticaClub.com that is also published in the newsletters. The DVD petition from Michael Faries is still on the list. I'm waiting until the DVD set is actually released before removing it from the site.

Regards,

Nathan

NEW! Sign the brand-new Larson/DeSanto 2004 Petition!

A brand-new petition is available for you to sign and show your support for Glen A. Larson and Tom DeSanto to work together on a possible new Battlestar Galactica motion picture. The petition states: "We the fans of the mighty Battlestar Galactica would like to see the combined work of Tom DeSanto and Glen Larson in a major motion picture. As fans we also hope and pray that these two men can bring about a possible continuation with both the characters and actors that made the show a worth while venture. We don't ask for much but hope for a show that will make those who passed proud (Lorne Greene, Lloyd Bridges, Jonathan Harris, and John Colicos). Finally we believe that actions can speak louder then the printed words and hope that both men will take this request to heart." Be sure to sign the petition and spread the word!

Sign the five primary Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions

The five primary Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions are available for you to sign and show your support for Battlestar Galactica. The five petitions listed here are endorsed by BattlestarGalactica.com. Petition #1 is the Battlestar Galactica Revival Petition to signal the sincere hopes that original cast members (and their characters) be considered for regular roles in the new Battlestar Galactica pilot/ongoing series. Petition #2 is the Battlestar Galactica DVD Petition to urge Vivendi Universal and Studios USA to seriously consider the release of ALL episodes of the original Battlestar Galactica television series on DVD/VHS formats. Petition #3 is the Battlestar Galactica New Series Petition aimed directly at the current Sci-Fi Channel happenings and utilizes stronger wording. Petition #4 is the Battlestar Galactica Fight for Survival Petition to support the new Battlestar Galactica production only if it is done right with direct linage of the original series and includes core members of the original cast in their original roles and includes the original Galactica ship. Petition #5 is the Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Advertiser Boycott Petition and states that the thousands of fans are left little choice but to fight back in the only way left to us. We will vote with our wallets and pocketbooks. To those advertisers on the Sci-Fi Channel, we caution you: Beware! We will boycott your advertised products for a period of two years if you sponsor the Battlestar Galactica re-imagining on the Sci-Fi Channel. These are five petitions that are endorsed by BattlestarGalactica.com and BattlestarPegasus.com. You can make a difference by signing the petitions yourself, and be sure to alert your family, friends, and fellow fans as well to visit BattlestarGalactica.com and sign the petitions!

Sign the four additional Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions

The four additional Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions are also available for you to sign and show your support for Battlestar Galactica. The Battlestar Galactica Richard Hatch Petition respectfully requests that Richard Hatch make his trailer, "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" available to be shown on the Internet. Richard Hatch -IS- listening! If you agree with the petition, then sign the petition to make your voice heard. The Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Management Petition requests a change in management at the Sci-Fi Channel. The petition urges the Sci-Fi Channel to focus more on sci-fi programming, including Battlestar Galactica, instead of broadcasting non sci-fi television shows, or axing sci-fi shows that have done well, such as Lexx and Farscape. The Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck Petition is a humorous petition, but for a serious matter: Ron Moore's new Battlestar Galactica mini-series script for the Sci-Fi Channel calls for Starbuck to become a female! Starbuck, one of the original series' most popular characters, becomes Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in the new mini-series, and "Starbuck" is merely her radio call sign. If you want Starbuck to remain a male and make your voice heard, be sure to sign the Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck Petition. Finally, the Battlestar Galactica No Re-Imagining Petition is a succinct petition that supports Richard Hatch's "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" continuation concept over the Ron Moore re-imagining felgercarb. You can make a difference, so be sure to sign the four additional petitions, after you sign the five primary petitions!

Mind a little friendly advise?

That is quite a large list we have there. Perhaps you should trim it down a tad by eliminating some of them.

My suggestion would be the first one that Michael Faries made 2 years ago.

Battlestar Galactica Revival Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/bsg2001a

and also KingFish's Larson and DeSanto.

http://www.petitiononline.com/pp303/petition.html

Also you have these two petition that are basically the same.

Battlestar Galactica New Series Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/bsg1

Battlestar Galactica Fight for Survival Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/bsgffs

I would only chose one of the two.

Then you have this one which I feel is very important.

Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Advertiser Boycott Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/sfbsgfan

And finaly there's my petition. It's very broad and not just for Battlestar Galactica but for all of Science Fiction and the mis-management of the Sci-Fi Channel.

Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Management Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/eulogy

As for the rest of the petitions:

Battlestar Galactica DVD Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/bsg2001b

We really don't need this one anymore since the DVDS are being released.

Battlestar Galactica Richard Hatch Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/RH2002

Richard has his own reasons and there is no sense in hassleing him.

Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck's Penis Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/nopeepee

No offense RGrant but restoring Starbuck's penis will not help this farce.

And finaly this petition:

Battlestar Galactica No Re-Imagining Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/nrfbsg

is pretty much the same as these petitions

http://www.petitiononline.com/bsg1

Battlestar Galactica Fight for Survival Petition

http://www.petitiononline.com/bsgffs.

Hi,

Not at all, but that doesn't mean I'm going to follow it.

I've thought about altering the list, but until the DVD set is released, and until the mini-series is aired, and until there is a clear course of action for the revival effort after that, I'm going to leave them as is. They've been in this format for a long time now, so I'm not going to change it until there's a reason to. With regards to the Richard Hatch petition, I'll tell you the same thing I told BattlestarFanClub.com-- I support the petition and the author. I also understand that Richard will not release the trailer until he is ready and able. So for now, there's no harm done in the fans voice being heard.

Regards,

Nathan

Nathan,

I didn't mean to trim them off your web-site.

I was making those suggestions to Michele for Dragon Con.

I was a tad bit concern about outsiders or newbies being turned off by such a larg list of petitions to sign.

It was never my intention to dis the other petitions.
