Default Taste of the future...

This is something that i've been working on. Some have seen this posted but i'd thought i'd show you where i want to go with Galactica. There is a bright future for the TOS and i'd like to show you some.

Well here's what i was doing. Still working on it. No texture's on the walls and i'm still modeling it but this is the corridor section that was being built for DeSanto's version of Galactica. If you look in the slide show you'll see it.

Darrell, Sandy and i discussed a fan film a while back where a search team finds remenants of the Galactica and her fleet. It could be way in the future after DeSanto's premis. Here they activate a ship, possibly the Galactica and walk down it's hallway's to a different room. Then a hand appears from the man that boarded the ship, he pushes a button on the console and a history of the colonies and the Galactican fleet is revealed. Maybe i'll keep working on it. Here' a render.

Hopefully when things subside i can finally get back to what i do best, create art. Been to long coming.

Today i built another section of the hallway to be used. Once that is complete i'll show another render. Then i'm going to build the Commanders Quarters shown in the DeSanto slide show.

Is that a model??? Or is it cgi?

Whichever it is my hat is off to you, Titon. I am TOTALLY impressed. That's just... I'm JEALOUS!!!

Now, if someone could teach me how to do stuff like that, lol!

Its CG, Rhonda. Remember about 3 yrs ago (maybe back to the 3-D gladiators days) when he did a corridor from the original G? Looked like a photo of the set? That's sort of the how Jewels met Titon.

Jewels and me are like dis! Or like DIS!

Actually yes Rhonda that is cgi, uncompleted but getting there. If you look up at the very top at the header banner you'll see the Galactica Engine Section and the TOS corridor section Jewels was talking about. All cgi.

I wasn't really hanging on CF when you guys were party of 3-G... I was pretty exclusively BGClub back then .

I'm really looking forward to the finished product, Titon!

Question

So, I shoot in front of a green screen and my actors appear in the room?

Err, it's not quite that easy.

With CSO it's easier than matteing them in.
