Strange Gift From Unknown Source
So, my doorbell rings. I go to answer it. There is no one there. There is, however, a white envelope closed with a red dot of wax. I open it and there are three $15 iTunes certificates. It was a really nice envelope. Fiber weave, shiny gold inside. The wax circle has not symbol, but was a neatly trimmed circle.
Trying to wrap my brain around this one.

Secret Santa
Sounds like maybe someone has a crush on you! Little do you realize it is the 6 year old down the street!

Eight will get you ten that, if and when you try to redeem those, they do the hard-sell on you for some hardware. Expensive hardware.
Or it's to get you hooked on thier music downloading service...
But it's strange. So strange. You got to pick up every stitch. Two rabbits running in the ditch. Beatniks are out to make it rich. Oh, no..
Um, sorry.

A crush on me? I think I was 18 the last time I had to deal with those. I ended up moving in at my grandparents. I was the new kid in a smallish farm town. Kinda like footloose...except they had no laws about dancing, there was no love triangle, fights with a local minster, I had a mullet instead of a spiked do...um..well, it was not really anything like Footloose....but being the new kid did garner a lot of female attention.
A crush....wonder if they had the right house.....

Dawg,
Ya lost me. The redemption codes were valid and I have added 11 new songs to iTunes already. Just one of those things that make you go hmmmm deals.

Yeah. But as I wrote "It's strange" I remembered the old Donovan song (also covered by Leon Redbone in Blues Brothers 2000, a rotten movie with a killer soundtrack) "Season of the Witch".
iTunes is tying "free" offers with a bunch of different stuff so that you'll start downloading their music, so that eventually you'll start paying them for it. If you have the willpower to stop once the "free" period runs out, you're ahead of the game. Some people don't...
Take advantage and don't give Steve Jobs any more of your money...

I own Apple Stock and Pixar. I am cool with supporting the cause.

Could it be as simple as a 'thankyou' gift from the teenaged girl you recently supported through her difficult times?
Getting download vouchers delivered is probably the teenaged replacement for interflora!!
Cheers,
Lara

I was entertained
BTW Dawg - I got the joke. Great song and ties in well with the iTunes concept.
Tux, you should download Season Of The Witch. Great song!
I am still going for the crush idea.
