Mike -

We did have that lineup here in the US for the 25th anniversary con in 2003. Too bad only 300-odd people showed up...

You know...

If I were a more impulsive person, I would be emptying my savings, getting a passport and booking a flight and accomodations....

I would love to go to England, but it's just such short notice (not to mention the money) for such a big trip.

I hope that our UK and Euro members enjoy the gathering. Please report back with details - and pictures!

Best,
Bryan

I spoke to the organiser of this, a friendly gentleman called Lee, about various things including a guest I work with, and having Cons in Newcastle again....(and hopefully properly run this time)

Sadly, I can't attend this show as I am on holiday in Spain. I'm gutted as I would have attended, and got autos from nearly all the main cast in one day....

So all I can do is wish the attendees and organisers the best, and hope that it will be repeated again over here in the UK (hint hint)

British Airways Cancels Heathrow Flights

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/ns/news/...ff&floc=NW_1-T

I hope this doesn't affect any of the guests or fans attending the convention. Can somebody on that side of the pond let me know how much of a problem, if any, this will be? I don't know the geography and travel routes involved.

Thanks,
Mike

Sounds like one heck of a gathering. I'm counting on you Brummies (and other assorted UK folk) to fill us in on the details...

Cool Timetable for Memorabilia Q&A stage

The folks at Memorabilia have released a timetable for the 'Q&A stage' that will be held at this weekends event (in the 10 or so years that I have attended the show.... this will be a first!)

Timings for Saturday & Sunday are as follows....

10.10 - The 'SFX' Quiz (Sunday Only!)
11.10 - Keegan De Lancie (Q2 - Star Trek Voyager)
11.30 - Aaron Douglas (Tyrol - NuBSG/GINO...... whatever)
11.50 - Jeff Wayne (composer of War Of The Worlds LP)
12.10 - Walter Koenig (Pavel Chekov - Star Trek)
12.30 - Stu Phillips (composer of BSG, etc) + piano!
13.10 - Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett - Star Wars)
13.30 - George Lazenby (007 - OHMSS)
13.50 - Terry Malloy (Davros - Dr. Who)
14.10 - Alexandra Bastedo (Sharron McCready - The Champions)
14.30 - Terrie Wilson & William Regal (WWE)
14.50 - Dominic Keating (Malcolm Reed - Enterprise)
15.10 - Orli Shoshan (Shaak Ti - Star Wars)
15.30 - Alexis Cruz (CANCELLED)
15.50 - Trina Parks (Thumper - Diamonds Are Forever)
16.10 - Cast Of The Original Battlestar Galactica
16.40 - Jamie Yeates & Chris Rankin (Marcus Flint & Percy Weasley - Harry Potter)

Is that a line up or what?!

Anyway, after all that excitement, I've got a question for you..... what's the best BSG thing/s to take to get signed by these lovely people?

Ian,

Congrats on being able to go to the con!

Many people get photos signed, but I have a friend that is getting a BSG movie poster signed for me. I like it, because I can get multiple auto's on the same piece.

If you have any large posters/photos or anything that you can get multiple auto's on, that would be cool.

Unless you like 8x10's.

Ian, it's Torrie Wilson of the WWE...

Mike, according to a post by TracyB over at CA, the cast made it safe and sound.

I'm not sure about Terry Carter, he is listed for Memorabilia, but the rest made it over.
That article was actually sent to me by the BBC this morning.
Here's hoping Terry will be there!

Yesterday was an incredible day out. very tiring due to traveling there from London (100 plus miles). But worth the journey for what happened and took place aty the convention of Memorabilia on Sunday August 14th 2005.

If Stu Phillips does indeed have membership and posts here on Colonial Fleets and and listens to the fans here. Stu.

Thank you very much for yesterday at Memorabilia Sunday 14th August. You along with all the fellow cast members of Battlestar Galactica made the event something to remember. Thank you for all the stories from the making of the series you gave all of us yesterday, especially thank you for the bonus "autograph" and book "Stu Who?".

(Can you please thank the blonde haired crew lady who was with you the other day as well?)

For all who went it was unforgetable. And a fantastic experience.

I just wanted to thank you all again. And i shall be reading the book to gain an insight into all the other works you have done.

Thanks and godbless.

Jason. (From Sunday afternoon!)

Hi Galactica fans,
I had a ball meeting those of you who attended the Birmingham bash last weekend. Jason, that lovely blonde sitting next to me was Natasha, and she's married. I think that the cast had as much fun as the fans, getting to see each other again. Here's hoping that the original "Galactica" will make a comeback in the near future.
