Love seeing that design modeled. There was something very stylish to McQuarrie's designs. And the, what I would guess, targeting circle inside the landing bay, which is from the painting, is great. Please keep it going!

I was just reading and catching up on your RMQ battlestar. I had a crash last year and in the course or swapping drives around and formatting I formatted the drive with all my 3d work (should have had it backed up). I almost cried it was so soul crushing. I pulled that drive and sat it aside. a couple months later I got a wild hair and decided to try some recovery software. I ended up recovering all my modeling files, as well as my microcontroller programming work.
Anyhow, its worth the effort to try the recovery.

I like your RMQ battlestar, and would REALLY like to see somebody do an RMQ bridge set!!

I have a rough draft of a 1978 galactica bridge based on the studio blueprints that I need to finish. I was doing test renders of it from the commanders perspective and noticed just how small the viewport is really. I think they used a long lens or something to film it bacause in the show it seems plenty big, but with a proper perspective its kinda small. Sort of like a Star Trek TOS bridge main viewscreen, really undersized.
When I saw the RMQ bridge I fell in love with it right away. That guy had such awesome design ideas, a truly great artist.

I've been tempted so many times to do this one. I hope you'll give it another shot.

Would love to see the rough drafts you've done. Could you post a few images?

I just tried to find the bridge stuff, but most was lost in my last HDD crash. Looks like I missed the bridge model folder I was dong most of the work in. All thats left now is a REALLY low poly rough cut model, with loads of bad polys A bummer, I had built the stairs, doorways, front window and some other parts. oh well
