LOL. When I heard the quoted lines in the film that you have to guess, I wondered if it was a direct reference to TESB or pure coinkydink. I think it was an intentional referance.

Here is a hint. Not a revealing hint but it will narrow it down. It was definately a comedy. To narrow it down still more (but not by much), it was definately not a Mel Brook's film. Although, some of the comedic dialogue sounded like Mel's style.
