Fred is a really nice person, salt of the earth and all. Just never gets mad, cold as a glaicier.

It's not Fred who needs your pity, it's them.

I've been away from the boards for about a week, and just went over THERE to take a look around. What the heck happened with Theodore-THE-Ted's meltdown? Does anyone know? PM me if necessary.

Without going into the gory details here, I suggest you check out Stallion Cornell's Moist Board. There is also a thread at Subspace which tells the story ("Rallying the troops")

I was hoping this thread would have died a natural death by now.
Even so, the back story is archived at the sites c1c mentioned.
I and others are hopeful these issues can be retired.

Urm. I'm actually just concerned about TtT's fate. Seemed like a really good guy. I've been doing a bit more poking around (marvellous what that "search" function can get ya) and I'm sure I can piece it all together myself.
It still stuns me that such a fractured fandom can be circling around BSG. But then, modern religion is fractured too, even though those involved all claim to worship God in some way. (Not meaning to stir up controversy; it was just the first simile that popped into my head.)
Anyway. Yeah. I'll do my bit to let this thread die and shan't post in it again, because it really HAS outlived its usefulness.
