Thumbs up A VERY special thanks to Micheleh

Alot of people don't realize it, but a HUGE amount of the Galacticon Burdon was carried by our Micheleh.

While we were rubbing elbows with the cast and hearing panels and watching cool movies, she was either stuck in the ticket booth or running around making sure things work. She had little time to enjoy the con. She was too busy making sure the con ran smoothly.

And even after the con, she still was up late without sleep. Calculating all the bills. Making sure everyone got paid. Trying to make what little money the con made to go as far as possible.

I really appreciate all she has done. She has taken so much abuse from fans, but she gave everyone ALOT. She made no complaints, she doesn't even ask for gratitude. But she really deserves it.

She's our little sparkplug!

You did a bang-up job, Michele! I hope you manage to catch up on your sleep soon.

Michelle:
It was a pleasure to work with you and meet you. You do the work of 3! At least!

Thank you for ALL that you did--and it was A LOT.

Michelle truly did an outstanding job. She worked long hours and missed out on most of the conventions truly wonderful events. She even missed her chance to be publicly recognized for her efforts (because she was busy working elsewhere during the wrap party).

She deserves the highest praise possible.

Thank you, everyone. This is the first time I've been able to slow down since the con, or I would have chimed in earlier. I do have to pass on credit, though- Richard worked phenomenally hard, before, during, and after the con. We all did- I was so proud to work with everyone who helped us, and can't thank you all enough.

Default To Michelle...

I've been trying to formulate my words on this, and haven't found the exact ones which express enough, convey enough, etc. (You know how you want to say something, but you want to say it perfectly?) Well, this may not perfectly summarize everything, but hopefully it's close enough.

To Michelle:
You truly have my heartfelt appreciation for the work you committed to this Galacticon 2003 event. You committed yourself to helping Richard; you maintained a very professional presence; you kept a level head; and you are a very lovely individual, both inside and out. I hope (dearly hope) you continue to work with Richard. Keep your eyes wide open, watch over him and stay focused.

I want to thank you so very, very much for the time, energy and efficiency you brought to the event. I kept hearing people around the convention mention "this is Richard's event." While he was incredibly busy running around, helping to co-ordinate and straighten out any issues, YOU, m'dear, were the glue. The event succeeded, in large part, from your work. I can praise so many people who volunteered and participated, but it goes back to you -- who is so dedicated and deserving of so much, much more praise.

Truly, thank you. You helped to make Galacticon a phenomenal event.

Best always,
Michael
