Default Another Former SNL Cast Member Has Passed On

Former Weekend Update anchor Charles Rocket during the 1980-81 season comitted suicide at the age of 56 on October 7. Rocket was fired by NBC for using the F-word during a Weekend Update segment. Fans of the TV series "Moonlighting" will probably remember him as Richard, David Addison's(Bruce Willis) brother in several episodes.

I remember him from "Moonlighting". Always sad when someone decides that they want to end their life, which is never good in any circumstance.

Wasnt he so funny? John F'ing Kerry... sorry just loving how he lost that one himself. Oh but that Lieberman would have made it...

I swear that SNL really does have some kind of curse on it. The cast members who have passed on did so at an early age.

John Belushi
Gilda Radner
"Mr. Mike"
Danitra Vance
Phil Hartman
Charles Rocket

Garrett Morris was shot several years ago, but survived
Dana Carvey underwent bypass surgery several years ago, but as far as I know he made a full recovery.

Entertainment Tonight did a segement about "the curse of Saturday Night Live" several years ago when Phil Hartman was killed.
