Default Gerry Anderson's "UFO"

I've always been a fan of this show even since it was broadcast in 1970 (I was 10 back then). Even though it doesn't have the broad appal that "Space:1999" does, I still enjoy watching the episodes now and then. I only have the first half of the series on DVD and will buy the second half as soon as I am done watching my LIS DVDs.

"UFO" is in the process of gearing up for a re-make - I wonder how it will fare in the "re-imagining" process?

Best to all,
Bryan

I also loved Seaquest DSV, Dark Skies, and SLiders.

Since Dr. WHO is no longer shown here and hasn't been shown for years.........
that's how.

V was well done. Although I think they did start to run out of ideas for scripts after a while. Jane Badler was the best baddie in the series! Never could stomach them eating rodents! If they ever bring it back Muffit's going to have to hide Harry and Gnawty!

Well does any one remember project UFO or cliffhanger or was that cliffhangers?
I loved those shows and was surprised to find out that they didn't last long. I guess when your a kid, shows seem to last forever. It may not be sci fi but I loved watching the Hardy boys Nancy drew mysteries that was on right before Galactica if I'm not mistaken. One of my guilty pleasures was Land of the lost when I was a kid and about a year or two ago, I found a site called GalaxyTV.com that played the episodes. Even though it was cheesy, I still liked it and it felt like I was a kid again .

GalaxyTV.com seems to be gone now

I had a "UFO" lunch pail as a little boy. I don't remember the plot or characters but does anyone other than me remember a craft that looked uncannily like a "viper" in that show. The "UFO" "viper was on my lunch pail and that was years before Galactica ever hit television.

TheodoretheTed:
Thanks for the pictures. That moonbase interceptor was the craft I was thinking of. Even the paint scheme on that model looks similar to the TOS viper. I remembered the bulbous nose being different. I would be curious if that interceptor was an inspiration to whoever designed the original viper.

Anne Lockhardt of Sheba fame had a guest star role on one episode of Buck Rogers. She played a charcater that came off a bit ditzy. I have always been curious if the real Anne is ditzy or not. She always seemed a bit emotional and ditzy in everything I've seen her in (which honestly isn't much). I wonder if that is good acting for the role or the real her coming through the same every time. What I've seen posted about her from the few people that met her say she is a very nice and friendly woman.

I thought Erin Grey was pretty good as an actress. I must
say though that Gil Gerard was a good actor ......perfect
for the role of Buck Rodgers.
