I am in total, stunned, disbelief. A piece of hope in my own life passes with him.
May you soar as the highest angel, Mr. Reeve...

95% of all pressure sores are preventable. The key to preventing a pressure sore is maintaining healthy skin. For individuals with spinal cord injury, prevention of pressure sores is an ongoing, lifelong process.

I just wanted to add how we should give credit to his wife. Alot of lesser women wouldn't have been able to handle this. She stuck in, for better or for worse. And if not for her, he couldn't have been able to get sofar.
She is also an incredible person. WHo is going through remorse.

Remorse as in mourning, Rowan.
Yes, a remarkable woman who stood by her husband's side through the worst that could happen.
A very sad day.

I'm just gonna have to borrow CT's words. He pretty much sums it up.
I didn't even know he was ill.

Christopher, may you rest in eternal peace and look down at this world knowing you will be missed. You gave hope and inspiration to many.

I think what is the most heart-wrenching part of loosing Christopher, besides the obvious. Is that I held out hope that we would see him walk again.....And now that he is gone a part of that hope feels like it is gone. I know there are many things in life to be hopeful about, although the world I am living in today compared to my childhood is harder to maintain that level of hope(outside of God)So having Christopher gone is even harder to take for me because of that specific loss. The research he was so passionatley fighting for (is controversial-I know) now has lost a wonderful spokesperson with clout. I am worried about how that fight will go because the research could tremendously help my son. I was at special olympics last night with my Chris and looked at all the kids who could themselves benefit from the research and felt a little concerned about that aspect of the Christopher Reeves loss(now that the initial shock is waning some). I don't have all the answers about the resarch and I know some people are against it but put yourself in his place or my son's and I think a lot of you would try to do whatever you could to help a loved one who is struggeling.

I have a dear friend who has a C-4 Back injury. Christopher Reeves was an inspiration to both of us.
He will be missed.

God, this is so sad. He was and is a hero to me. It's hard to believe he came so far after his accident, only to die from something so simple.

This is sad, but rather then focus on that....
It was Chris Reeve's as Clark Kent/Superman that showed me the goofy disguise of glasses really could work. His performance as stumbly Kent versus his confidence as Superman was amazing. He was a fantastic actor.
Death Trap (as noted earlier) is very funny, and if you ever get a chance to see Noises Off..., both Reeves and John Ritter are hillarious

I was so saddend to hear of Christopher Reeve passing , He is a fine man, full of inner strenght who gave the Superman charactor deeper meaning. As Superman , Chris Reeve allowed us too dream that we could fly . To me he gave Superman heart and a wonderful personality . he will be missed.
