Default The scarab

with the fleet on the run, and a limited amount of ground combat vehicles. Colonials designers decided to use what parts they had available and the Scarab was the result. designed with a heavy Energy turret and a Box Missle launcher, it can take the Frakken starch out of the best Cylon ground units.

this is still a rough WIP. I still need to add the box launcher and various objects to the Hull.

That's not a bad idea mate... I never design ground craft for BSG, mind if I use yours as a bases?

not at all use it if you like. the basic design is from a TOS BSG toy back in 79 or 80 I think.

glad you liked it. just let me see the result please LOL

Very nice! Can see the influence of the toy designs, yet making it a bit more realistic. The toy lines were always odd to me as they just came up with random designs (although I do own a mattel landram which is a good match to the show design), however they do give some fun inspiration for alternate designs.

glad you liked it David. still have a lot of work to do on it. but it will come together.

Ive seen some of your work its great. I got one of your Shuttle models a while back to study how you created it.
great work, really clean mesh. the way you did the panels helped me over one hurdle in my own work.

that shuttle inspired me to make an Assault shuttle design. its still in the beginning phases but soon...

extremely interesting design, I assume it's a replacement for the landram?

Never seen this ground vehicle in any BSG scenes, but I like the design.
