Default Ships of Sci-FI

Check this out!

In case you are wondering, look down about 2/3 of the way over on the right side of the image where the green Robotech ship is. The BSG ships are just to the left and lower of that ship...

Hmmm. I think they're wrong about the size of the TOS Galactica, which was stated long ago (I think by both Dykstra and Larson) to be 1 nautical mile in length, putting it at 1852 meters - longer than both NuGalactica and NuPegasus.

Interestingly, they also show the USS Vengeance from the new Trek movie (listed as a "Dreadnaught-class Battleship") and the Narada from the previous movie, but I can't find the new Enterprise. Probably because nobody can agree on her size. Some say she's only a little bigger than the TMP refit, others (like me) say she's bigger than the Enterprise-E, due to the horribly mis-scaled hangar, main engineering and bridge areas.
