Default Looking for a particular novel...

There's this SciFi book I read a long tiem ago, though I can't remember the name. I was wondering if anyone round her emight be able to help out.

What I do remember isthis:

It starts off with a young woman in London being taken up in to an alien ship. SHe goes through some sort of nightmarish dream sequence and wakes up as a care nurse - I kid you not - in a mental hospital on an alien world populated by almost-humans. She's been drugged and kept docile while she cares for a prince, who is also drugged to make him seem mad and keep him away from the throne.

THe planet has blue grass. That detail always stuck out to me.

The girl and the prince end up working out a way to get the prince guy back in to his inheritance. At the same time they have to find a way of contacting Earth so that they can form an alliance against the first aliens, who prey on humanoids and eat them. Aside from that, I don't remember much. I think it was written in the late 70s. Telstar is mentioned.

Anybody know what I'm talking about? I'd really like to get hold of the book again to see if it's as good as I remember.

Guys, it's really bugging me. I need to know! It was the first decent scifi book I ever read.

If I get an answer I might feel better and stop talking about it...

Default Could it be?

This sounds familiar although some of the details do not fit with my memories. However, it HAS been quite some time since I read it.

I believe the book you are thinking of is "Restoree" by Anne McCaffrey.
