Aha!
Chris Whitley!
Very nice, the one I think is his best; Big Sky Country.
Wow, it is an accoustic version, live:
http://www.messengerrecords.com/soun...ky_country.mp3
"Like Hallelujah in the Big Sky Country. Just like forver, and ever is why."
Maybe Scrapyard Lullabies is really best though:
http://www.cornerband.com/messenger/asx/scrapyardHQ.asx
Better production values than the previous cut.

My favorite Patty Griffin tune, One Big Love:
http://a420.v8383d.c8383.g.vm.akamai...724_1_4_04.asf
I can't find a play of Mad Mission, so some lyrics instead is all you get:
Quote:
It's a mad mission
Under difficult conditions
not everybody makes it
To the loving cup
It's a mad mission
But I got the ambition
Mad, mad mission
sign me up

Geez, not much mention of Def Leppard, or Metallica ( I just love S&M).
How 'bout these for a blast from the past: Night Ranger and Vixen.

When I was in H.S. a few of my fellow band members figured out how to play parts of that by ear (no sheet music). We would play that at our football games when our team was penalized. After a while, the refs didn't like it.

Couldn't see the ref's face, but the home crowd loved it. After a while, they started singing along-------including the adults who couldn't stand the song!

I hate Real Media streamed, but if you have never heard this one, you need to give it a listen.
