Good news for mini fans, hopefully someday we will have good news about a continuation too
Wonder if the thirteen episodes will be remakes of some TOS episodes, or if they are planning to take a new direction? Does anyone know?

I hope Titon gets some work out of this but from what we're hearing from Moore sounds like a lot ship interiors and dialog.

Lot of shows do that, like SG1, ST, etc. Build up a stock footage library that they can use over and over or modify slightly and save the major CGI for a few episodes per season. Good way to control costs, yet provide enough action episodes per season. Lately, one usually sees a filler show or 2, or a clip show, character showcase episode, or the characters interacting in a humorous or serious setting just before a big action episode.

From what Moore seems to be saying, the 'character showcase' episodes are going to be the primary focus with the occasional 'big action' shows as the fillers. Seems like a reversal of the more familiar pattern to which we've all been accustomed to seeing.

Jon I think you're right about that. It's a shame really especially when the
special effects are so much cheaper to do now.
