Default You won't believe what I found!!!

I was, for some odd reason, looking for a vintage BSG lunchbox from back in 1978.

Well, I found it on ebay, and in mint condition, the little buggers go for over 200 dollars American!

That's outrageous, but I guess that there are some people who are really nuts about that type of collectible.

I also found a place that sells plain metal lunchboxes, with or without a thermos, and the things only sell for 8-10 dollars, shipping not included.

I'm almost tempted to buy a blank one, and personalize it with some BSG artwork.

Of course, I'd probably get hit with copyright infringement suits left, right and center, but it'd almost be worth it.

Maybe put a SriYantra on one side, along with the Galactica Eagle on the other.

If you plan on selling them you could possibly get into trouble, but if you're making it for your own purposes then you'll be safe.

A few of those pricey lunch boxes up on ebay aren't even vintage. I love the waving Cylon on the original!

Can't speak for lunch boxes, but BSG memorabilia collectors are an enthusiastic bunch, so doesn't surprise me that one would pop up. (There's a reason an episode of "House" included a nod to us--Cutner had an original blaster, and of course, there's always the flight suit from Leonard's closet in Big Bang Theory)

Waving Cylon? Just a Cylon with a hand in the air like a wave? Weird?

Making it kid friendly?

Ok, just found it... what the frack?
