Converting your Playstation 2 movies
I found a site that features a great tutorial for transfering your Playstation2 movie files from your playstation disk to a movie file on your hard drive.
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpB...ic.php?t=29514
I'm going to try it right now.

I had trouble ripping my Final Fantasy Disk. Though that could be because Squaresoft is known for using hard decryption on their games.BUUUUUUUUt I found a program that ripped it pretty easily!
This is a straight rip from my game
That is about as high res as teh original file! And the sound is 48Khz quality. real nice.
It gave me the audio in one file and the video in another. But that's easy to multiplex together in Virtualdub.

That program is good for Final Fantasy X and X2. But I don't know if it can do any other.
But if you want to rip those disks you can use this program:

(click ffx2mov)
That is a more recent version. Though it may be for PAL. So if you need it, here is an older version:

Wow! Gorgeous pic Thomas! That ripper must be pretty good. Wish I had a PS2 (my daughter likes Final Fantasy), but we only have a PS1...
But if you post the pics, I'll be sure she sees 'em!!!

Love this post from over there on that link.
Nope, gotta get a capture card.
If it's not a pss, it's not extractable.
*throws Metal Gear Solid 2 video idea out the window*
Thanks for the link. Hmmm some interesting developments indeed.
My minds just opened up a world of possibilities?

The quality on from the FFX2mov was as good as the original! I pared it down a tad to make this managable to show to you guys.

(save to disk, then view)
The speech in a way is something we can relate to
I've very happy with how easy this was to use! Once it ripped I opened the file in virtualdub and VIOLA!
