Exclamation Godzilla set to retire

From Sci-Fi Online:

Godzilla set to retire

Japanese cinema star Godzilla looks set to bow out of the movie industry after his next appearance. Final Wars, which opens in December will see the end of a 50 year old phenomena who has a total of 28 movies under his belt.

The latest movie will, according to Yukihiko Mochida, spokesman for the Toho studio, "compile the fruits of 50 years' work and put an end to the series."

The last movie looks set to feature ten monsters from previous Godzilla movies. and will also include the new, stronger Monster X.

Seriously, sorry to see the King of the Monsters go. Makes me want to trample a cardboard city or something...
