Not Forgotten: BSG Reference Sighting
This was over on the scifi bbds. Credit for finding goes to Cylon2
It seems the car design critics remember our show rather well. The following is taken from the 2nd paragraph of an article on new SUV designs. Article is here:

Quote:
Fr: Just how goofy can SUVs get?
by Robert Ahl
Now it seems every maker is conjuring up some sort of wild-looking SUV. Nissan has gone globular with its Murano and Infiniti FX45, Toyota’s 2003 4Runner front end looks like a Cylon helmet from Battlestar Galactica, the Volvo XC90 features an oversize caricature of traditional Volvo styling, and the Chrysler Pacifica is too… too… something. But it’s Mitsubishi’s new 2004 Endeavor that’s the most aggressively bizarre looking of the bunch.

Gee, those Cylons and their BSG origin are quite memorable after all. Thanks, Mr. Ahl.

They even have a model named Pacifica. These car makers are obsessed with BG, aren't they?

Oh, I missed that one! Good catch!
Industrial designers (the folks that make the cars cosmeticly interesting and driver/passenger friendly) have always liked spaceships and airplanes for inspiration.

Hi All!
Today the 9th of feb i was watching a National Geographic's Explorer show titled exploration space, and at one point it asks which american president saw a UFO, the answer was Jimmy Carter, it wipes to a model of a UFO flying by.
The design consisided of a standard 50's ufo body but on the top and at the bottom of the saucer were a cylon raider acting as if it were the propulsion units. I gigled and smiled.
Galactica Continues somewhere out there,....
Laters!
