A man is walking along a beach one day, when he happens to find a bottle floating in the surf. He picks up the mysterious looking bottle, and starts to dry it off by rubbing it. In the process....a great Jiini pops out of the bottle.
"I, the great Jiini, will grant thee three wishes, Oh Master, but be advised. What thee ask, I shall grant thy mother in law double."
So the lucky guy asks for 1,000,000 dollars. The Jiini grants the wish, but grants his mother in law 2,000,000.
Then the lucky guy asks for a great mansion to live in. The Jiini grants the wish, but in accordance with his mandate, grants the mother in law two great mansions.
"I will now grant thy final wish, Oh Master. But remember, what thee ask, thy grandmother receives double."
So, the lucky guy ponders his last wish for a moment...then grinning, says: "Beat me HALF to death."
