Default I have finally arrived

I've got a password, and I'm ready to go. Pity it seems like the time has come when it seems like Moore has all but won.

I know that there is probably still a chance that we'll get what we want, but Moore will stop at nothing to get what he alone wants. That's sad.

Welcome to CF, JSC1.

Gotta keep the faith...it's always darkest just before the light! (Hopefully, the "light" will not be that of an oncoming HammerMoore train!)

Default Hi JSC1

Welcome! I just arrived myself. I have been hoping for the series to come back ever since--oh, 1980 or so.

Its reassuring to know that there are others like me that enjoy the show and can see that there was and still is a lot of unrealized potential in it.

I wholeheartedly agree with you and others here that the remake/reimagining/regurgitation of BSG looks to be an abomination in the making. Everything that made TOS so MEMORABLE (put THAT in your pipe and smoke it, Ronnie!) will be written out. [heavy sigh]

Default Thanks for the welcome

I notice the Galactica model in some posts, and it got me thinking what Moore's Galactica would be like. I heard More say he wants to be as close to the original as possible, while I've heard others say that Moore's Galactica ship will be like a submarine in space.

Stangely enough I had thought about when Larson's production with Moyer was happening. I had the concern that they would just take a ship and put the name 'Galactica' on it. Now with Moore's script that could be just what he's doing.

At any rate, by showing the promos on Sci-Fi, they have committed themselves to the Galactica production. There is still talk about what form that production will take, but Moore will stop at nothing to present his re-imagining.

When that day comes I plan to watch the original and munch on popcorn. If by some off chance I watch the 're-imagined' version I plan to have a lot of barf bags at the ready.

Apparently SciFi couldn't foot the bill for a space carrier and had to settle for a second-hand submarine. Periscope down, prepare to dive to new depths.

Welcome gentlemen.

Always nice to have two more aboard. Warrior quarters are down the hall and to the right. The officer's Club is one deck up. Adama buys the first round after major attacks. The triad courts have to be booked two cectons in advance for play. And the duty roster is posted right outside the Bridge. And tonight there's a pyramid game in Blue Squadron's quarters...so bring your cubits.

Once again, welcome and May the Lords of Kobol be with you!

Gotta be careful of those things! They're really tasty but they'll play havoc with your life systems.

Turboflush is just around the corner, behind the rack of warrior helmets.
