Free Battlestar Galactica Game in Development

New report from Aries at the Battlestar Galactica Club Forums: "I'm writing a freeware Battlestar Galactica action game. 2D but with nice graphics and shadow effects. It will follow the original storyline in (hopefully) a lot of cool missions. Want to help? E-mail me at AriesNL@yahoo.com. All help is welcome but I need especially: 2D/3D artists, pixel artists, sound/music editors (you can use wave and midi), other programmers (C++), and someone who can make intro movies and/or cutscenes would also be very welcome. A very early tech demo is available at the following link. It just shows some things the engine can do. Don't expect a full game. The game will be absolutely free and will be available to everyone. I'll put it up on a website, but I'll have to make one yet." To check out the demo, click on the following link. And if you would like to help, be sure to send an e-mail to AriesNL@yahoo.com.

Tricia Helfer Fawcett Majors: Number Six an Angel

A new report from the Associated Press was posted at the Battlestar Galactica Club Forums. The report mentions an upcoming "making of" movie that will be about Charlie's Angels and how the television series started. Tricia Helfer from the Battlestar Galactica re-imagining was hired to play the role of Farrah Fawcett-Majors due to her close physical resemblance to the actress. For the complete report, be sure to check out the following link at the Battlestar Galactica Club Forums.

Complete Battlestar Galactica Card Set Available

The brand-new Complete Battlestar Galactica Trading Card Set is available from the official web site at SciFiHobby.com. "The base set contains the 72-card base set featuring every episode from the show's first (and only season). Sorry, no bonus cards included in this collection. Price: $19.99". Although their web site states that they are only accepting online orders paid with a credit card, I inquired anyways and they do in fact accept mail orders paid with a check or money order: "You can make payment via money order or check. The process is the same as if you were going to pay via credit card. First visit our website (www.scifihobby.com) and place the items you want into your shopping cart. Follow the on-screen prompts until you are taken to the screen that ask for your credit card information. Simply print this page and send payment for the amount show in the total field to the address below. Thank you. Rittenhouse Archives, Attn: Order Dept., 1653 The Fairway, Suite 200, Jenkintown, PA 19046." Many thanks to Robert Kohlbus at Rittenhouse Archives, Ltd. for the update.

United Kingdom Viewing Figures for Galactica 2003

New report from Ian_W359 at Colonial Fleets: "FYI, the viewing figures for Sky Movies 2's UK premiere of the 2003 Battlestar Galactica mini-series should be publicly available from March 2nd. This is when BARB (Broadcasters' Audience Research Board Ltd) - the company that calculates TV viewing figures in the UK post the channel's top ten programmes for that week on their public website - (http://www.barb.co.uk). If you like, I can post the figures here (or in the news section) when they are available (with a selection of other channels for comparison). This is dependant, however, on the showings of the mini actually getting into the top ten (which may not be difficult if it has proven to be popular)." For the complete report, be sure to check out the following topic and associated replies at Colonial Fleets.

All your favorites will be here: Richard Hatch as Capt. Apollo, Dirk Benedict as Lt. Starbuck, Lorne Greene as Commander Adama and more to follow.
