OT: New "V" to Ignore Anything Beyond the Original Mini-Series

Battlestar Galactica fan gastrof posted a report at Cylon.org regarding the upcoming "V" mini-series: "This week's TV GUIDE (U.S. version, page 5, June 14th issue) says this about the new 'V' - 'The proposed 2004 TV-movie will jump off from the conclusion of the first miniseries, bypassing the original sequel and its spin-off series.' Forget about V: THE FINAL BATTLE and the weekly show."

OT: DeSanto and Transformers

Cinescape has reported that former Battlestar Galactica producer Tom DeSanto will be working as producer for the upcoming Transformers movie: "THE TRANSFORMERS have been many things: a toy line, cartoon series, comics, even a theatrical movie. But now Hasbro's robots in disguise are preparing for their greatest role yet...as a live-action movie. Don Murphy (THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN) and Tom DeSanto (X-MEN) are the two gentlemen who have the plan and will be the film's producers. DeSanto is also in the midst of creating a story treatment for the movie, which will serve as the template for the screenplay." Tom DeSanto was originally working on a Battlestar Galactica continuation with director Bryan Singer, until Bryan departed the project to work on X-Men 2. Shortly after that, the Sci-Fi Channel announced their "re-imagining" of Battlestar Galactica with Ron Moore at the helm. For the complete report, check out the following link at Cinescape. Thanks to dah66 for posting the link at Colonial Fleets.

BattlestarGalactica.com has a New Webmaster

Colonial Fleets original owner Darrell Lawrence posted a new announcement: "I'm not quite sure what to say at this point, other than the legacy Michael Faries started with that site and the others he worked on that I'll also be taking over will not die. His influence and such will be present while I am the web master. The content will remain the same, but be re-arranged a tad, new stuff added, etc. The main change will be the layout/design, as that'll have my touch on it. I look forward to working with Richard Hatch on these web sites, and do want to emphasize, through me *and* Richard, that we want to work with *all* of the BSG web sites out there. I will be stepping down as a FORUMS Admin here, *but* will still be around to work on the web site at CF for Don. If anyone has any questions, comments, suggestions, etc, feel free to post them in this thread." Thanks to Darrell Lawrence for posting the announcement at Colonial Fleets.

Goodbye from Michael Faries

BattlestarGalactica.com original webmaster Michael Faries is stepping down from his position at Richard Hatch's web sites: BattlestarGalactica.com, RichardHatch.com, GreatWarOfMagellan.com, and Michael's own BattlestarPegasus.com. Michael Faries has worked tirelessly for 5+ years for Battlestar Galactica, Richard Hatch, and to provide hope for the fans. Michael's stewardship of the sites and his incredible networking has made the sites top-of-the-line and earned the respect of many, many fans. We wish the very best to Michael in all his pursuits. Darrell Lawrence of ColonialFleets.com will be handling the web sites (with the exception of BattlestarPegasus.com). Darrell has very big shoes to fill, though he is certainly the right person for the job. Best of luck to both Michael and Darrell!
