A bit older than most here, I guess
I was 28 when Battlestar Galactica appeared on the television. I had just returned from Germany after getting out of the Army and was getting reacquainted with the U.S. television format (commercials during shows seemed odd after German television which had uninterrupted shows and then blocks of commercials). I saw an advertisement for this new show and, it being science fiction, decided to watch. The opening theme grabbed me and Battlestar Galactica became a weekly visitor to my home.
