Ahh, I'm just gonna trick it out a bit on the paint job- no electronics. I don't like resin as a rule, not for complex build-ups, anyway. I may use it as a template for a scratch build working one in future, though. Wood and/or styrene.

Me too! And I love the sound it makes. The TOS phaser is my favourite super-hi-tek weapon, but as
lasers go, this is definitely the best of all time.
Red Eye swears by them.

Wow, I thought if anyone knew that, YOU would! I'll have to research that one.
The only ho-hum design IMO on the whole series was the communication device. Everything else was inspired excellence.
