Bryan Singer Talks Galactica

New report from bishop37 at the Cylon Alliance Forums: "From the UK magazine Dreamwatch: Q: As you were working on X-Men 2 you were juggling other SF projects. We know you can't talk about either the one you're developing for Universal or the mini-series, but can you talk about Battlestar Galactica A: That is being done independent of me at USA [Network]. I haven't really followed it. It was something I explored. I hired [X-Men 2 designer] Guy Dyas to design it for me. He was an illustrator and it was his first production design job. Ultimately, the window to make X-Men 2 moved up and I had to step away from Galactica. Guy created some magnificent designs and the good thing that came from it was that I broke him in as a designer on X-Men 2. I don't know if they'll use any of the designs he did for Galactica on the version of it they're doing now. I think they're doing a different story than I would have done." Many thanks to bishop37 for posting the report at Cylon.org.

Battlestar Galactica Sighting

Battlestar Galactica fan dilbertman posted a new report at Colonial Fleets: "Just saw this in the August 2003 copy of Sci Fi magazine. On page 9 there is a story about Paul G. Allen co-founder of Microsoft. He is planning to invest $10 to $20 million to build a 'cultural project' in Seattle that will seek to draw visitors into the science-fiction experience. Preliminary plans suggest that if it comes to fruition, it would be part museum, part amusement park and part little boy's fantasy. Tentatively called 'SFX: The Science Fiction Experience', the project is to fill 13,000 square feet of the exhibit space that has been part of the Experience Music Project. The sci-fi project is scheduled to open in the summer of 2004. SFX's advisory board includes writers Greg Bear, Ray Bradbury, Octavia Butler and Arthur C. Clarke. Now for the part about Galactica, one from the drawings for the museum shows a display case with a Viper Helmet from the original series."

List Released of the Fake Milton James Collective Screen Names

The moderator of SubspaceBBS.com has posted a list of the fake Milton James Collective screen names that were used at his board. The list of names were discovered to be from the same 2-3 people who also faked handles at several other message boards. Here is the complete report from Dennis: "Apothis has been banned from www.subspacebbs.com for fabricating the identity 'Milton James' and some twenty other handles. This is a complete list of alternate 'handles' created and used by Apothis at Subspace. None of these ever existed other than as alternates for Apothis: Admiral Kirk, AntiHatch, Billy Keikeya, bsgbountyhunter, Captain Milton James, Captain Sulu, Cardassian, Colonial Marine, Commander Adama, Commander Kor, Cpt_ChouDi, Dualla, Gaius Baltar, General Chang, Kara Thrace, Klingon Warrior, Korg, Laura Roslin, Leoben Conoy, Number Six, Sharon Boomer Valerii, tashayar85, and William Husker Adama. Also the handle 'Slipknot' used at the Film Score Monthly site is Apothis." Thanks to Dennis for posting the report, and thanks to Two-Brained Cylon for exposing the fabricated Ron Moore fan base at several message boards.

The Latest Interview with Ron D. Moore (Part 2)

New announcement from Two-Brained Cylon at Cylon.org: "On 26 May 2003, The Cylon Alliance again had the pleasure of completing the second part of a two-part interview with the new Battlestar Galactica miniseries writer, Ronald D. Moore. This latter portion focused directly on fan concerns regarding the content of the production, the methodology of the miniseries, and events affecting the fanbase. Throughout both parts of this interview I gave Mr. Moore the opportunity to avoid any question he thought would be uncomfortable to answer. He answered each one directly, without asking any qualifications from me. I've found his answers to be informative and helpful. I hope all off you do as well. (Questions 1-8 were in part 1 of the interview)." For Part 2 of the new interview, be sure to check out the following link at Cylon.org.
