More Censorship at the Sci-Fi BBoard

The Sci-Fi BBoard staff posted a follow-up announcement regarding the new moderated BBoard system: "Thank you for your feedback on our new, moderated BBoard system. We're continuing to work out the kinks based on your comments, and we appreciate your suggestions as to how we can improve. To answer your most frequent question: We chose the Battlestar Galactica BBoard on which to test the new system because it's one of our busiest boards and because it's received the most complaints from you, the fans, about inappropriate content. In addition to our moderating the board, we ask that you please keep the discussion on topic. This board was created to discuss both the classic series and SCI FI's new miniseries, which is a re-imagining of the original. The debate about a re-imagining vs. a continuation has run its course, and new articles on the subject won't be posted. Battlestar Galactica is currently filming in Vancouver, B.C., and is scheduled to air in December 2003. We welcome discussion about it."

Reported Airdate for Mini-Series

New report from scifiman76 at the Sci-Fi BBoard: "The announced airdate for the mini series is Wednesday December 3, 2003 8PM EST/PST." If this report from scifiman76's insider contact is accurate, it would be interesting to note that Star Trek's Enterprise is already scheduled for the exact same time that night.

DVD Box Set update

New report from Galactica2003.net regarding the Battlestar Galactica DVD Set: "The good news is that Universal Studios Home Video is trying to get this thing out there by November instead of December. Also it will include a Glen A. Larson interview and no making of the mini series documentary. That documentary will be on the mini series DVD set for Feb 2004." Also reported: "Galactica 1980 has been remastered. There are plans to release it in 2004 as a box set but nothing finalized yet. There is even some talk about including them in the 25th Anniversary set and raising the set's price to $129 SRP. But as the months go by, things will get clearer. There are no plans to release the remastered set on VHS. DVD only."
