To bump into Sen, who has baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad news. It has been discovered that Muffit got all those mushies from the replicator device invented by Dr. Wilker. (So he claims, but the sticker on it says "Property of Starfleet Command") He's been stashing his mushies behind the laundry room ceiling panels, just waiting to corner the market, next time Starbuck tries to date Athena and Cassie at once.
BUT................... It seems the mushie he originally used was one from a crate that had PLUTON POISONING from the Holocaust, and was thus DEADLY!!!!! As his hoard of tainted mushies grew ever more vast, the pluton molecules in them began to...grow. Slowly, over untold episodes, interacting with soap bubble fumes from below, they began to change into...... something. When the soap bubbles exploded in the overstuffed underwear processor machine containing Sheba's bras, the soap came into contact with the altered mushies.
