NEW! Sign the brand-new Larson/DeSanto 2004 Petition!

A brand-new petition is available for you to sign and show your support for Glen A. Larson and Tom DeSanto to work together on a possible new Battlestar Galactica motion picture. The petition states: "We the fans of the mighty Battlestar Galactica would like to see the combined work of Tom DeSanto and Glen Larson in a major motion picture. As fans we also hope and pray that these two men can bring about a possible continuation with both the characters and actors that made the show a worth while venture. We don't ask for much but hope for a show that will make those who passed proud (Lorne Greene, Lloyd Bridges, Jonathan Harris, and John Colicos). Finally we believe that actions can speak louder then the printed words and hope that both men will take this request to heart." Be sure to sign the petition and spread the word!

New BSG Mini Added to Evil-Movies List

The upcoming Battlestar Galactica mini-series has been added to the list at Evil-Movies.info. The purpose of the Evil-Movies.info web site is described as: "This website has been created for the purpose of sparing sensitive individuals the emotional and mental trauma of watching movies in which a child or young teen is killed or exposed to severe violence." The Battlestar Galactica Remake (2003) is listed on the site as: "Not only does this film contain needless scenes of sexual deviancy, such as a robotic female giving the villain a hand job, but it also portrays a robotic female forcing her finger into the head of an infant child, as described in the review of the shooting script on Cylon.org. Please add this to your list of evil movies." Thanks to jjrakman for posting the report at Colonial Fleets.

Battlestar Galactica 25th Anniversary Cast & Crew Reunion Screening

An exclusive Battlestar Galactica 25th Anniversary Cast & Crew Reunion Screening will take place on August 23rd at 5:00 PM at Cinematheque's 4th Annual Festival. The event is described as: "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (THE MOVIE), 1978, Universal, 125 min. Dirs. Richard A. Colla and Alan J. Levi. A resourceful team of space warriors, led by Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and Maren Jensen, take on the evil Cylons (dig that moving red eyeball!) in this humorous and action-packed television series, screening here in the 1978 theatrical feature version. Often compared to a small screen STAR WARS (visual effects guru John Dykstra created superb F/X for both), 'Battlestar Galactica' achieved its own unique charm through a winning cast and a refreshing, tongue-in-cheek approach to the sci-fi genre. [This screening is co-presented with Cinefantastique Magazine. Event sponsored by Universal Home Video, who will be releasing a deluxe 'Battlestar Galactica' DVD boxed set in October.] Discussion following with series creator Glen A. Larson, actor Richard Hatch, composer Stu Phillips and visual effects expert Richard Edlund (schedules permitting)." For more information, be sure to visit the following link at EgyptianTheatre.com!
