Update on Radio Galactica

New report from oldwardaggit of Radio Galactica: "I am truly sorry that Radio Galactica has been off the air for so long. I wanted to wait for a certain project to get finished but due to health reasons of one of the participants, it had to be stalled for a bit. I started another project for Radio Galactica and the fans but I hope to have the station back up and running before this project is finished. A little while back I reformatted my computer and thought that I would be able to just pop in a disc and have the station back but it turns out that I have to visit ShoutCast.com again and download the goodies. As soon as I do that, I will have it back. Thanks every one for your patience." Thanks to oldwardaggit for posting the report at Colonial Fleets, and we look forward to Radio Galactica's return to the Internet airwaves!

Revival Remarks from Edward James Olmos are posted at his Web Site

The revival remarks from Edward James Olmos (Commander William "Husker" Adama) are now posted on his web site: "I'm going to be the first one to say it really clearly. Please tell your readers, do not watch this program...[P]eople get really, really angry. You've got to remember that this is a show that was only on... in the late '70s, and to this day has a very strong fan base. Tens of thousands of people who write to each other for 25 years over a program that is not on the air and is not even being rerun." "They didn't want this at all, and I didn't know any of this... All of a sudden, my e-mails went through the roof. Suddenly I was accused of teaming up with Ron Moore and creating just a slap in the face of all these people, and I didn't want to slap anybody." "Trust me, don't watch it. If you are a real, real staunch 'Battlestar Galactica' person, don't watch it... Just don't write to me, all right? I warned you. I was honest." "I've gotten some really strong, strong mail... They're really bitter. They're very angry. And I know the Sci Fi Channel wants to say that everybody's going to enjoy it. They're not." Many thanks to ejowebmistress for posting the remarks from Edward James Olmos.

Write Bob Wright, President and CEO of NBC

New announcement from JJRAKMAN at the Battlestar Galactica Club Forums: "Write Bob Wright, President and CEO of NBC! Bob Wright, NBC, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City, NY, 10112. You can remind him of three things: 1) As Warrior pointed out, NBC nearly made the same mistake with the Star Trek franchise. 2) They are taking the long awaited, and correct route with the 'V' franchise, in bringing it back as a continuation. 3) Sci Fi is about to destroy the franchise by remaking it as a soft core adult program. Also, here's some e-mail addresses you can send your letter to in care of Bob Wright. cory.shields@nbc.com, nbcshows@nbc.com. And as always please copy and paste this information to any Battlestar Galactica or Battlestar Galactica friendly sites. Even if you think this is too late, it may still ultimately help remove Bonnie Hammer from Sci Fi to send her back to Lifetime where she belongs. No more Viva Rock Vegas, ugh!"
