SyFyPortal.com mentions mini-series in "Top Newsmakers Of 2002" article

SyFyPortal.com has published a brand-new article that lists the site's "Top Newsmakers Of 2002". The article mentions that: "It was a big year for science fiction, filled with hits and misses all over the place. SyFy Portal has compiled its list of the top newsmakers of 2002. They include actors, writers, producers and even creators." Included in the new article is a mention of the new 'Battlestar Galactica' mini-series: "3. Ronald D. Moore -- Oh yeah, the former executive producer of 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' wasn't going to go away quietly, which is great for many fans. After spending a considerable amount of time on the failed series 'Roswell,' Moore took on a new project -- replacing Bryan Singer as the man in charge of re-imagining 'Battlestar Galactica' for the small screen. Fans will find out in 2003 just how well Moore did as a fan of the 1970s television series." For the complete article, check out the following link at SyFy Portal.

Just heard from the Larsons...

New announcement from Michael Faries of BattlestarGalactica.com: "Just heard from the Larsons... Too cool... I've been given a copy of what the second season of Battlestar Galactica might have been. While there are scripts for the second season (of which I have some paper copies, and John Dorsey's 'Sheba's Galaxy' site has reviews), this is a full outline of characters, revisions, plot summaries and other goodies which might have comprised a second season for Battlestar Galactica. My sincerest thanks to the Larsons. Wow. Truly WOW. It's interesting to note that a couple of tangents which were planned for the unfilmed second season were present within Tom DeSanto's production, like Starbuck becoming second in command. ;) Yes, you heard me right: Starbuck was promoted to Tigh's position. (Tigh isn't seen, nor explained away. And Apollo has reasons for not assuming the position.) I'm behind on updates for various reasons. I will endeavor to summarize some of the information for the web sites in the next couple of weeks." More detailed information will be posted at BattlestarGalactica.com and BattlestarPegasus.com when the report is completed.

Mini-series script mentioned in SFX print magazine

The January issue of the SFX print magazine has a new article regarding the mini-series script. The article is based on the initial character breakdown that was leaked to FilmJerk.com, so there is no new information in the article for the most part. The article is still worth reading however, so be sure to check out the transcribed copy at the following link. Many thanks to Kingjason for posting the report at Colonial Fleets.
