Tinkered with the elements of the original?
Tinkering is putting an extra character here and removing a lesser used character there. Tinkering is changing the music to fit modern times. Tinkering is giving a fresh look to otherwise dated appearances.
They did NOT tinker, they came in and RENOVATED it till it was unrecognizable.
