Wrong answer! It was Hope Lange that played the part of Carolyn Muir in ABC's
The Ghost & Mrs. Muir during the series run (1968-1970).
I loved that show! I had a friend that took me to see the house here in California that was used for the pilot episode and that 20th Century Fox used as a model for building their studio set.
I didn't get to see the Gene Tierney/Rex Harrison film until many, many years later. If you watch the film closely in comparison with the first season of the TV series, you can see that plots used in the film version were used to inspire entire episodes for the series.
I would love to get this show on DVD.....
