Sign the four optional Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions

The four optional Battlestar Galactica Online Petitions are also available for you to sign and show your support for Battlestar Galactica. The Battlestar Galactica Richard Hatch Petition respectfully requests that Richard Hatch make his trailer, "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" available to be shown on the Internet. Richard Hatch -IS- listening! If you agree with the petition, then sign the petition to make your voice heard. The Battlestar Galactica Sci-Fi Management Petition requests a change in management at the Sci-Fi Channel. The petition urges the Sci-Fi Channel to focus more on sci-fi programming, including Battlestar Galactica, instead of broadcasting non sci-fi television shows, or axing sci-fi shows that have done well, such as Lexx and Farscape. The Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck Petition is a humorous petition, but for a serious matter: Ron Moore's new Battlestar Galactica mini-series script for the Sci-Fi Channel calls for Starbuck to become a female! Starbuck, one of the original series' most popular characters, becomes Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in the new mini-series, and "Starbuck" is merely her radio call sign. If you want Starbuck to remain a male and make your voice heard, be sure to sign the Battlestar Galactica Save Starbuck Petition. Finally, the Battlestar Galactica No Re-Imagining Petition is a succinct petition that supports Richard Hatch's "Battlestar Galactica: The Second Coming" continuation concept over the Ron Moore re-imagining felgercarb. You can make a difference, so be sure to sign the four optional petitions, after you sign the five primary petitions!

BattlestarPegasus.com to Return on November 26th

Webmaster Michael Faries of BattlestarPegasus.com and Space1999.org (and founder of BattlestarGalactica.com) has reported that his long-running web site will return! Michael Faries reports that: "As some of you know, I made a decision to retire from Battlestar Galactica fan-based web site work back on 5 June 2003. BattlestarGalactica.com, GreatWarofMagellan.com and RichardHatch.com went into the very capable hands of Mr. Darrell Lawrence; and BattlestarPegasus.com, like it's namesake on the original series, disappeared into the void of (cyber)space. I originally launched the BattlestarPegasus.com web site on 3 December 1998 -- the 20th anniversary of the original airing of 'The Living Legend, Part II.' On 26 November 2003, the 25th anniversary of the original airing of 'The Living Legend, Part I' the Pegasus RETURNS AGAIN. BattlestarPegasus.com will relaunch in support of the ORIGINAL Battlestar Galactica series." For the complete report from Michael Faries, be sure to read the announcement at Colonial Fleets, and be sure to visit BattlestarPegasus.com on November 26th!

Galacticon: Young Maren Jensen

Webmaster Darrell Lawrence of BattlestarGalactica.com posted an interesting report at Colonial Fleets: "This young lady was one of the cocktail waitresses at one of the clubs at CityWalk during Galacticon. I asked a friend of mine to take her picture (she agreed to it) because we thought she looked like a young Maren Jensen. When we told her that, she looked surprised and asked who Maren was. Kids these days... When I told her who Maren was, she was more than willing to have her picture taken." For the picture, be sure to check out the following link.

Battlestar Galactica: DeSanto's Revival

Cylon.org has posted an incredible report on Tom DeSanto's version of Battlestar Galactica. The article is written by Sandy, also known as the Two-Brained Cylon. In the opening paragraph, Sandy writes: "Tom DeSanto and Bryan Singer's Battlestar Galactica revival effort underwent a number of changes throughout its life. Their intended storyline began as a remake that eventually changed to a continuation effort designed to revive the original Battlestar Galactica series, ignoring the events of Galactica 1980, something fans universally supported. In Oct 2003, at the 25th Anniversary celebration of Battlestar Galactica, held at Galacticon, Tom DeSanto revealed much of the final intended storyline. He revealed fragments of the story through direct talks, private meeting, and a number of personal conversations. This synopsis is pieced together from those talks and is as accurate a portrayal of the final shooting script as possible. The Cylon Alliance welcomes any corrections or additional information you might have regarding this effort, the Galactica that could have been." For the extensive report that contains a lot of additional information and some pictures, be sure to visit the following link at Cylon.org!
