I believe I saw her scantily clad on a magazine cover at the star the other day. :)

I have noticed these Jaffa women are very impulsive, even to the point of foolishness. Especially the one Ryac(Teal'c's son) wants to marry.

:wtf: and what was foolish about her.....Hmmmm????.... I saw her as a young vibrant not to be stepped on gal..... maybe a little quick with the harsh words....but I didn't see Ryac being any more mature...we also have to remember that they are teenagers...about 17...I believe.... ;) I didn't understand why Teal'c was so against the union...I need to rewatch this episode again too...lol...I am not sure also that I like the episodes where they are about a single person...I like them where the whole team is involved.... :/:

I guess I was thinking that Ishta was very rash and impulsive and lacked wisdom. To eager to rush into battle without sizing up your enemy. That's a bad quality in a leader. That kind of thinking is often more disasterous for your own side than the enemy. Ryac's girlfriend bothered me. They kept refering to her as a great warrior, but she too seemed impulsive and definitely immature, qualities that battle would take out of you, or get you killed. The actress to me seemed to have been more suited to playing high school cheerleaders. I didn't get a sense of "weight" from her that i think someone who had actually faced a few battles would have.

And yeah...Ryac has always seemed kinda whimpy to me. He whines. :LOL:

Btw- I think Teal'c mentioned he was against the marriage cause he remembers the pain of leaving his family behind to fight the Goa'uld. And he sees that pain as kind of inevitable for his son.

Oh..that's right, I remember now...and yes I do agree about the women...They all seemed a little gun-ho...lol...I was never that crazy about Blalock (sp) as Ishta...I see her as T'pol....lol. She even has the same voice...I guess that is how she talks all the time...

Remember the Ishta part was written with Blalock in mind. But the alternative was Victoria Pratt if Blalock wasn't available.

This episode showing Ishta being rash and impulsive was a departure from when we 1st saw her in Birthright. Ishta should have been written more like a female Bra'tac, especially since she is a temple high priestess and the "noble leader of the Hak'tyl resistance". Her fighting abilities certainly matched Teal'c and she had the ability to sneak up on Teal'c without being detected. In the Crossroads episode, Sho'nac was a temple priestess, and although not a fighter, that character was very calm and had a lot of wisdom. IMHO, the writers should have combined both attributes (fighting ability and calm wisdom) to avoid the "Xena: Warrior Princess" comparisons.
