For being there for us when we need them, and you can’t begin to appreciate that until you do!
For doing a tough and thankless job so well!

Antelope gets off the shuttle onto the Rising Star. Immediately he hears the sound of revelry. Not wanting to miss a party Antelope peers into the banquet room. Amazingly he sees an event he hasn't seen since he joined Boomer and Apollo in busting up Sirer Uri's post halocaust party of Thanksgiving.

Sitting around a table were Dawg, Gemini, DarkJedi, Thomas, BST, and Jewels. They were wearing their dress uniforms. They were a sight to behold. Obviously they were still glowing from the awards ceremony for their valor during the recent battle of Gomorray.

It was obvious the drinking had been going on for some time. Rowan was the center of attention as she danced on a table. Never had a colonial uniform seemed to fit so well. Braxis was running from table to table and ambrosia to ambrosia. With Braxis short stature, red cheeks, and cheer Braxis looked more like a happy gnome than a colonial warrior. Warhammerdriver was passed out in a corner. Antelope thought Warhammerdriver wasn't going to make the next patrol but doubted Warhammerdriver was concerned at the moment. Shiningstar was at the bar incoherantly saying something about killing 4 basestars all by herself to a cadet as she spilled ambrosia on him.

ThomasBombadil walked in. Flushed with cubits from a lucky pyramid game he yelled out,"The ambrosias on me!"

With that Antelope knew that it was his cue to start ordering ambrosia.

It looked to be another fine night on the Rising Star! :cool:

I love your imagination! I could picture such a scene (if I knew what everyone looks like!), but you would have to paint me as a "designated shuttle pilot" - I'm not much of a drinker....

I laughed out loud when I read the bit about Rowan dancing on the table! That was great - I don't think that she would object.

Bsg walks in with Starbuck and runs over to her friends. "Hey all Starbuck is buying!"

Antelope wakes up in a room on the Rising Star three days later. He puts on his colonial uniform that was laying on the floor. Antelope doesn't remember exactly what everyone drank but remembers that the lights went out and everyone seemed to be unable to find their way back to the shuttle.

Adama is going to be real angry when we get back. Who knows how many missed their patrols.

Antelope walks into the main hall. Unowhoandwhy, Amberstar, and Sorrell are now off from patrol. They are arguing with Shiningstar and Bsg1fan1975 over who will be the designated flyer.

Antelope chimes in, "I'll drag you all back on the shuttle when your done. Have an ambrosia on me." With that Antelope sat down at a table with Starbuck, bummed a cigar, and asked to be dealt in to the next game of pyramid."

The only thought on Antelope's mind as Starbuck dealt the first hand was, "This colonial uniform sure fits tight. I thought my uniform usually fits loosely. I guess I must have gained some weight or this uniform shrank in the dryer."
