Galacticon 3

Well so far so good. I mean wow, we got to see a stage full of the cast of the classic Battlestar (Tigh, Rigel, Apollo, Starbuck, Boomer) and a bunch of other people from some other Galactica? That puzzled me. :P

At any rate, was AMAZING. The audience loved it, and afterwards Richard Hatch did a class on acting. Wish I had stayed for that, but you know, it was great meeting Reaper, Monolith21, and others in colonial and Cylon get up.

Here's looking forward to tomorrow, and hopefully a game of Pyramid with the Blackstar folk. ;)

Re: Galacticon 3

True that, Monolith, Spectre, (Ms. Spectre) who I am suggesting the name Artemis, Lil' Commander, Scoob, Rico, Ed, Diana, Cindy and I will throw in honorable mention Missy (not at the tables but a recent Blackstar addition on the boards, just busy with the panel organizing all weekend.) Also hopefully we will get another Melissa we met that would like to depict the socialator costuming and aspect of the colony.

Met a good group of people, and that does not include the Cylons like Gene, Tim (is that CyVader?), and others like that.

Made for a wonderful time. Anyway, just reporting in that I have arrived home safely.

I'll really have to kick my Friend Andrea to get to the forum then, cause she has the Red Socialator dress now, but won't post pics till she redoes it lol. I know she will share info on doing the costume.

Glad you had fun sir, and Thank you for helping with EVERYTHING

You must have had an epic time!

Which now...I really must pull my finger out and finally make my Serina blue dress. Still have the fabric I bought for it ages ago. I should get to it at last, for the fun of it.

You have a great costume there Jubal!:salute:

Re: Galacticon 3

Sarika, first off, thanks! :) Costume was something I was able to put together by Galacticon 3 thanks to the help of Reaper and a group order with BSG.org. We simply must do that more often. :colonial:

And I agree with Reaper, I would love to see more civilian costumes like Andrea's Socialator costume, and that Serena dress sounds great. It was not just the Colonial Warriors that made Battlestar Galactica cool, it was the whole environment and all involved.

So get that blue fabric and go turn it into the Serena dress that it was always intended to be. :salute:

Re: Galacticon 3

I am certainly going to make it a priority to get thst dress made, Reaper, it'll be fun!;)

Thank you for your kind words.

Jubal, indeed Reaper has the connections in place to help a fellow warrior with out of this world costumes for BSG.
I concord, that all the costumes from warriors to civilians, were just so amazing and like no other show, (my opinion only) , created the atmosphere and fabulous look of the people and their worlds.
I loved it!

Sci fi today takes on a less creative wardrobe I fear.
It somehow can't compare to that of BSG or even Star Wars.
But yes, that blue fabric shall be turned into that wonderful Serina dress! :colonial:

It was such a blast at the show! I'm so glad to have met so many great people. I tell ya...patrolling around in that heat wearing a full battle suit was interesting to say the least. Apparently the Southern California summer didn't quite prepare me. lol
