This is good news. Let's hope the third time is the charm in terms of post-1979 Galactica comics series (I don't count Marvel) having a nice stable long life with some good stories.

sweet .. looking forward to getting my greedy hands on one or a few:)

This is great news.

It shows that The Classic Series can still stand up on its own alongside The New Series as being worthy of merchandising. A very important point to make on the commercial viability of a 28 year series in current times.

Here's to hoping, folks.

The classic series I will buy the comic for.

The re-imagining-no.

Yes! I cant wait! It is my understanding the publisher, Dynamite, is also putting out a book based on gino. I would love to see which version has better sales. I know that my cash is going towards the classic series exclusively. My only wish is that they fight the urge to create some type of cockamaimy crossover between the two. Yuck! Dynamite, please keep it pure.

This has promise. I'm not a comic-book guy, but this has promise.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey, I wouldn't mind if they did my crossover story! (POTA, not that other thing) :D

One thing I'm hoping for is that the series picks up shortly after "Hand of God" and not 25+ yahrens in the future. I'd love to see Adama on the bridge again (even in comic book form) and Apollo back in a cockpit and blastin' Cylon raiders out of the stars. I'm also hoping the writers are "true blue" classic BG fans and utilize supporting characters like Cassiopea, Dr. Salik, Bojay, Borallian Nomen, Lucifer, etc. Heck, Boxey had even better be present for it to be a series based on the original BG!

The wait for this thing is going to be rough...but at this point, BG fans are pretty much used to waiting, aren't we?

Hopefully the characters will look like the actors who portrayed them.

Always difficult waters to navigate. Every actor or actors estate in the case of those who are deceased, have contol over how their images are used. You'd have to secure agreements from every one of the cast members for their likeness.

That's a TOUGH thing to do. But who knows? most of the cast are pretty proud of their work on Galactica, so it might just be acheivable.
