when is the new sg1 season starting
 

i dont get a tv guide where i live, i heard they are making a new season for sg1, am i dreaming or isit a fact ?

Good news and bad news....

Stargate SG-1 currently in its 10th season (making it the longest running America sci-fi tv series) was NOT renewed for a 11th season.

So this is in fact its last television season. SG-1 has aired its first 10 episodes of season 10 and is now currently on mid-season break. The last 10 episodes will begin airing in April on the Sci-Fi Channel.

However it was also announced they will be making TWO direct to DVD SG-1 movies next year. The first movie will wrap up the storylines from season 10 and the second movie may possiblily set up a scenario for a third Stargate series.

Also, Amanda Tapping (Col. Carter) will be joining the cast of Stargate Atlantis next season.
