Dr Who

With the Dr Who: End Of Time Christmas special coming up pretty soon within the next 2 months. And David Tennant's last portrayal as the 10th Doctor. figured it'll be the last time we'd get to chinwag or discuss his Doctor's time coming to and end.

With youtube vids making their rounds i figured i'd put up some snazzy interesting stuff to keep the interest in the 10th Doctor going. And talk about and discuss any theories on the new one?

Also, did anybody wish that Tennant's Doctor would revisit the events of 'Time War' itself (although within canon its currently "Time Locked" forever?) before regenerating into his 11th incarnation! Kinda figured that'll be the wish of 'Dr Who' fans everywhere's since Russell T Davis is leaving the franchise as its main producer, writer and showrunner etc and handing them over to a successor, Moffett isn't it? Wonder if we'll ever see those events playout one day, since the 'Time War' been refered to over and over, one kinda figured Davis handing over production and writing duties would allow for him to finally do the Time War as an actual story, as his final swansong. Alas no, or not yet anyhow? Will we ever see it? So wanted the BBC to shell out and bring McGann back and let him return to the role in a 'Time War' mini series or special TV movie and chronicle those events in a huge special. And let him get to, regenerate onscreen into Eccleston's Doctor and tie up loose ends etc.

No fall of Arcadia just yet eh.

*Sigh*

I'd also hope as the new series continues ("Series 5" A.K.A. series 1 of Moffett's era of Who) that they'd at least try to resurect the old Cartmel Masterplan that was intended for the 7th Doctor and give it to this new one (11th Doctor) Doctor instead, depending on how he turns out etc. Can't see why not, 'Shada' a Tom Baker story (4th Doctor) became a 8th Doctor story far as the Dr Who audio series is concerned! Same could happen here too, i'd love for some of those intended original mysteries of the 'Doctor' to finally become canon and be intergrated into the current 'live action' television series Dr Who!

Re: Dr Who

Thanks for posting those links.
I've been a long time Dr. Who fan.
I remember the show from way back in the 60's and the current series now.
I'm definitely going to mark the Christmas special on my calendar. :)

Re: Dr Who

Well until more is known of the new series, all we've got is fan wishes and hopes etc.

But there is enough desire and wishes to be made of Doctor Who as a series by fans, without some of Russell T Davis' bad cheesyness factor making there way in there etc (some stories have suffered cos he went too far). Think the older a Time Lord's is in his regenerations, the darker they should become. So i wouldn't mind seeing a return to some concepts that were touched upon in the classic series, but as of yet aren't chronicled as of presently.
