A Colonial Fleets Warrior goes 'Beyond the Red Line'

I'm grinning from the irony of this...

Less than 48 hours since beginning the process of turning over BattlestarPegasus.com to a new owner and stepping away from BSG webmastering, I got the call today.

I'm one of the newly-cast voice-over talents for the upcoming demo version of the Battlestar Galactica-inspired "Beyond the Red Line" game. (Boy, that was a mouthful!)

I literally JUST found out minutes ago.

BSG is inescapable.

And, yes, I've asked these gaming powers-that-be if they'll consider a TOS version after they finish this one. That would be a dream come true.

For more information on the game, see:

Michael :)

That looks a great endevour for fans of that series.

I do hope they will develop one of the original series, which has been proposed many times, and that fans develop videos like those seen on their TNS site, for submission to my site, www.battlestarfanfilms.com

Welcome back Michael.

It's irresistable! (that tune that has the phrase "it's unbelievable" in it is running in my head.) Mwahahaha, you're being kept around to do things like propose TOS games to videogame folks at Uni.

btw: since we don't discuss anything with the new series anymore so, fellow warriors, let's keep this topic more on how life is weird, circuitous (sp?) and some things are just inescapable in spite of ourselves.

The fan film site (http://www.battlestarfanfilm.org) is really cool!

And the cross over with Star Trek... :D

Cheers,

I realize this is an old thread. But...my wife & I just recently played the demo of Beyond the Red Line and the additional mining mission. It was very good!!!

I understand the BTRL Project was stopped due to creative differences but is being revived / worked on under a new project name - Diaspora.

Now I'm old school BSG, while my wife is with the new. I have to say this demo was frakkin awesome to play!!! My wife wants to audition for voice parts for Diaspora - LOL.

I've been reading the 2012 updates on the new Diaspora Project (link below). It looks like that is going to be great; as it develops.

...thoughts from the community?

This project sounds frakkin awesome. What was the link to beyond the red line again?

When you say BSG is inescapable you mean the feel of the original series?

For me, personally, it's a matter of pride, knowing that the ships in my animation projects were built by me. :) I could use other artists', and credit them, and I'm certainly not above it (or below it for that matter...ha ha ha) but I rather like being able to look at the playbacks and say: "Damn, I built that?!" LOL!
