Theft
Anyone had dealings with "red_sox_14" at ebay?
The jackass is trying to sell/aution t-shirts with MY ART! http://cgi.ebay.com/SCI-FI-BATTLESTA...QQcmdZViewItem The thread with the original art- http://www.colonialfleets.com/forums...ead.php?t=9764 I e-mailed him through ebay asking who said he could use my art. I also e-mailed ebay themselves reporting this theft. |
Check his other stuff. I think more theft.

Definatly. I was about to post the same thing.
|
I say get him kicked off E-Bay and the Internet altogether. There's no room for that kind of theft. Learn to be creative instead of ripping off other people's stuff.

Hey, how did he get this one?
http://i11.ebayimg.com/04/i/06/c2/00/92_1.JPG http://cgi.ebay.com/SCI-FI-MOVIE-BAT...QQcmdZViewItem From the image, that looks remarkably like an animation I did but I don't recall ever posting any large stills from it. I think I did put up a video with a small pic (500 x 375) so if that's what he used, the quality on this T-Shirt thing must be really crappy. Either that or one of the larger still's I've shared with the innner circle has made it out to this little snitrad's paws. I'm pretty sure that's an image built from my first mod of the stock viper model Either that or someone else had the exact same screwups I had and used the same mod textures because that looks remarkably like the modified belly texture I created for the viper that I later replaced with the revised mod (Version 2). So, what recourse do you have in this case?
|
Kaith, I'm about half way through the "procedings" with ebay.
Waiting to hear back from them for the second time. I contacted them, they responded with a link to a form to fill out, I filled it out and faxed it to them. Now waiting on them. |

D'accord!

Darrell,
What's that link for the form. I'll fill one out as well. Sandy |

That's my old Viper and image! Someone must have some saved images from BG.com! Hehehe. |
IS that yours?
OK, explains that one. I thought it was mine based on the belly texture. I'm pretty sure I have a flyby animation buried in my DVD archives somewhere that looks pretty close to that and I couldn't figure out how this clown might have gotten his hands on it. Then YOU should write Ebay. Sandy |

Don and Sandy, I'll forward you the e-mail I got from ebay with the form link and the procedures for it.
Don, you *are* still using the CF mail addy, right? |

;) You could forward it to this new email if you wish. don@7thmillenia.com |
Anybody who has art that's been lifted by this guy NEEDS to write IMMEDIATELY to eBay and report him. Be sure to include the seller's name, a link to the offending item, and an explanation that you did NOT give him permission to use your art.

It's also possible that he's selling these shirts using cafepress.com or a similar service as the manufacturer, since he isn't showing the actual shirt. Lots of people do this, taking the shipping info of the winner and plugging it into cafepress.com, never actually seeing the product. If that's the case you may have additional recourse through cafepress.com since they take this sort of thing seriously. He may be using the same handle there.

Usually before people do business they read the reports on who they are dealing with. So if you mention his art is stolen, he may feel it in his wallet a bit. Just a thought gp |
The auction ended, did it get closed or just end?
|
I just found another one of Warriors art works on this guys auction.
Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/SCI-FI-BATTLESTA...QQcmdZViewItem |
Mike, same one. Other one expired, he just renewed it is all.
I'm still awaiting word back from those clowns. |
