Robyn Douglass Records Her Galactica 1980 Memoirs

Robyn Douglass is best known to sci-fi fans as Jamie Hamilton in Galactica 1980.

In Messages for the Future, Robyn shares her recollections of her career building up to appearing in the show, her memories of being on set and her reflections on the show.

These unique audio recordings were made in 2019 and we hear the recounting of previously unknown details about the show and Robyn Douglass’ contribution to the Battlestar Galactica canon.

The CD and Download were released to coincide with the 40th Anniversary of Galactica 1980 in January 2020.

The trio of McCord/Van Dyke/Douglass was the best part of G80. I confess I watched it mostly for her...

And with the 40th anniversary upon us (boy, does that make me feel old...), no better time for this to be offered. I'm all in favor of this (and the Hatch recording, too); I like behind-the-scenes stories, and I've always liked Robyn Douglass.

Even if I am in the "Except for 'Return of Starbuck,' G80 didn't happen" camp... ;)

I'm looking forward to the next release, too...

The CD arrived yesterday and I listened to it almost straight after opening.

I really enjoyed it.

Robyn Douglass comes across as a nice person who is proud of the work she did on the show and is very positive about it.

The stories she tells are interesting and there's stuff in there that you've never read anywhere.

Five stars from me.

Robyn had always been one of the things I did like about G-80! Great to hear about this.
