Is There A Connection
I am reading The Last Roundup a Star Trek novel by Christie Golden. The author's last name stuck out in my mind because there is a Christopher Golden who wrote the first two BG novels. The Last Roundup seems to use a similar writting style as the BG novels by Christopher. Even one of the characters in Last Roundup a klingon named Garthak's seems familiar. It seems similar to Garr Tokk a Borellian Noman in Hatch's novels. Could the authors be related?

Could it be the same one? A female could have the name "Christopher". Unlikely but, possible. Could also be a pen name. :) |
Many character archetypes are fairly similar.
Starbuck, Han Solo and Captain Kirk are the same archetype. Apollo is essentially the "6'2" Eyes of blue" square-jawed striaght-shooting leader Identical notions CAN be arrived at completely independent of the other Fans of anime can see Cowboy Bebop as a spiritual descendant of Lupin the 3rd. In fact CBs creator sites Lupins gang as inspiration for Spike and his co-horts. Basically I guess Im saying is that there are no truly original ideas. But existing notions can always be utilized to good effect. And badly if the Wild Wild West movies, not to mention certain Sci-Fi outings (And Im not meaning TNS) |

From the FAQ: Q: Are you related to Christopher Golden? A: No. Although it's odd that both his dad and my dad are named James, isn't it? :viper: :viper2: |
