The First Word becomes the Last Word.

This is the opposite of the other thread. The first word of this following sentence MUST be the final word of the sentence you write, and so on. Just 'cause I'm a curmudeon!

Oligarchy, corrupt and self-serving, is essentially what the Council of Twelve has become, don't you think?

The 14th Colony July 12th, 2004 04:07 PM

Heavens to Mergatroy, I should get royalites for this thread, or perhaps file a lawsuit like George Lucas did against Glen Larson, for making a sci-fi film slightly similar, ect. But aside from that, I do not think I can participate in this thread for I have no clue the definition of the word oligarchy. ;)

Rowan July 12th, 2004 04:56 PM

Well this is going to be fun! I bet a lot of people get the two threads mixed up LOL! but I'm always pleased to see more game threads, especially if they are a little challenging but Sen starting this off with the word oligarchy?! What are you trying to do to us? good heavens!!;) :D

Senmut July 12th, 2004 05:30 PM

I mused for a while as to what to put into a game thread, and this poor offering is what came out of the well.

Rowan July 12th, 2004 05:34 PM

It is not a poor offering! I like it :D but it's more challenging than the other way around! like trying to come up with a sentence that ends with I?!;) :D

Archangel July 12th, 2004 05:42 PM

It couldn't be too hard, could it?

Senmut July 12th, 2004 05:56 PM

It could, now that I think of it.

Rowan July 12th, 2004 06:21 PM

You two are brats! your making this look easy and I'm finding it challenging! LOL! so stop it!

Archangel July 12th, 2004 06:48 PM

You hear that Senmut? Now we're brats. I actually find that a compliment. What about you?

Rowan July 12th, 2004 07:10 PM

Figures you would take that as a complement! ;) :D I'm impressed that you are starting and ending your sentences with the same word that's even trickier, now that you have started this trend are you intending to keep it up? Hats off to you!:salute:

Archangel July 12th, 2004 07:20 PM

:duck: Nah, it was just a joke that ran it's course. :)

Now to get back to the spirit of the thread:

That figures! ;)

Rowan July 12th, 2004 07:32 PM

figures you'd throw a word like "Nah" as a first word! what the heck am I supposed to do with that? The guy doesn't post for a year and then wammo!:D ;) by the way who the heck ends a sentence with nah???;) :D

Dawg July 12th, 2004 10:13 PM

"Nah" is just one of those slang words that throws everything into confusion, but, then, that figures.

Rowan July 12th, 2004 11:18 PM

 Boys boys boys! you are sooooo bad! Am I serious? Nah!;) :D

Archangel July 12th, 2004 11:38 PM

As the saying goes, boys will be boys! :D

kitty July 12th, 2004 11:45 PM

It is not as good as.....

bsg1fan1975 July 13th, 2004 03:37 AM

As what you can come up with usage for it!

unowhoandwhy July 13th, 2004 06:19 AM

Can you think of uses for words like am, are and as?

Rowan July 13th, 2004 06:22 AM

yes I can!;) :D

unowhoandwhy July 13th, 2004 07:21 AM

Correct you are, yes.

kitty July 13th, 2004 10:41 AM

If that was your answer then its correct.

Senmut July 14th, 2004 05:02 PM

If I was not correct, we are left with a great "what if?"

Archangel July 15th, 2004 08:45 AM

How many times have you started a sentence with "only if"?

Terra July 15th, 2004 09:05 AM

And then he shouted: - How come I was not informed?? HOW!

Archangel July 15th, 2004 09:12 AM

Now how am I supposed to end a sentence with 'and'?

Dawg July 15th, 2004 09:54 AM

This observer thinks you did a pretty good job, but then how would you do now?

unowhoandwhy July 15th, 2004 10:21 AM

Let's leave it like this...

shiningstar July 15th, 2004 12:55 PM

This is one time......I say...... Let's ;)

unowhoandwhy July 16th, 2004 09:09 AM

Do you know how difficult I find this?

Archangel July 16th, 2004 09:15 AM

I do!
