Galactica Bridge...

Peter Noble started a thread in the TOS Galactica section about the Bridge section being really big! Well yes it was. I'm posting the in progress renders here because i never fully completed the bridge section. It looks close but this is a very raw model that i will eventually go back and completely redo. I havent' touched it in about 3 years. It's safe to say i've learned alot since those days.

But anyways here ya go. One Galactica bridge section ala mode.

As you can see there are alot of modeling errors and the scale needs revision plus the lighting is not what it should be. Not to shabby for a wet behind the ears modelor though. Back then that is!
;)

Ah, I remember these! Didn't Raymar3d do a bridge too?

I like what you've done with the forward viewing screen.

This make me wonder just how many unfinished BSG projects you've got on that hard drive of yours? ;)

Er umm enough to fill a website?

The bridge is a bugger though. ALthough there are blueprints for it some of the measurements to accurately do it are not there. I do know there out there.

;)

...hmmm This looks familiar :D

This is where screen captures and trial and error comes in. If something looks right to the eye in absence of the correct information I say go with it. Also having the patience of a saint helps.

I thought about that pretty hard after seeing how great it looked.

Hmmm

;)

peter noble June 30th, 2005 03:47 PM

A virtual tour of the DeSanto bridge would be going the extra mile, you could do it as if it was being filmed by someone with a hand-held camera.

Just thinking out loud...

Titon June 30th, 2005 04:38 PM

Hehe

jewels June 30th, 2005 07:12 PM

That is just bogglingly lovely. This finished or a DeSanto Bridge? Geez. I can't pick. I can think of someone it would be way to much fun to send the second one to on a DVD or CDRom with "merry christmas back at ya" on the label. :D

I need to wipe the drool out of the keyboard before it shorts. Blast, but that is soooo terribly cool.

Deserves some of these guys: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Titon July 1st, 2005 07:05 AM

Bummer!

I actually had a crew that i imported from Poser onto the bridge section but for some frackin reason i can't find them!

They deserted! OFF WITH THERE HEADS!

:)

jewels July 1st, 2005 08:31 AM

Psst. They're on furlon on the Rising Star. Poor buggers are contributing to Starbuck's pot. You'd think they'd know better than to play against HIM. ;)

Titon July 1st, 2005 01:00 PM

Eep!

Spike The Cylon July 4th, 2005 08:56 AM

Sweet!!!!!

Sept17th July 8th, 2005 07:10 AM

If one could build the pedestal part and shoot with green screen is there a bridge model available?

bobanort August 26th, 2005 04:32 PM

:salute: Dude that bridge set rocks!!!!!

Titon August 27th, 2005 05:45 AM

I would be happy to model hard body stuff THIS well! With some updated lighting it would look pretty nice even so.
