Seemed like a waste of electricity.

Yeah I agree. Though if they had managed to bring back the actress who played Osiris, then that could have made this issue much more watchable. Just seeing her with Daniel again would have been worth it.

The creators of Stargate don't do goverment conspiracies very well. Well...neither did Star Trek.

Its always better when you have a tangible enemy, a face to hate.

ok, So with millions of Jaffa killed, who will be left? Unless they are billions of Jaffa.....

There could be billions. They have inhabited multiple worlds for milenia.

Keep in mind that there are thousands, perhaps more, lesser Goaulds many of them with smaller Jaffa armies. Not to mention how many 'forgotten' planets from dead Goaulds there may be. There could literally be an endless supply, this is what makes the Milky Way so tempting to the Wraith. Endless supply of goddies.
