review:
I like this, but I think it was a little bit lost in where it wanted to go. Its an interesting concept that is long overdo. Teal'c has been saving the earth for 8 years now. Its about time he was allowed to have his own life. He no longer has a symbiote and he has HAIR. He is no more limited than a diabetic who needs insulin.

I enjoyed seeing Teal'c relate to others besides SG1. I liked how the scenes with the skateboarding kid. And his new neighbor was very charming. Erica Durance btw guest stars on Smallville as Lois Lane!

My major criticisms outside of a unfocused plot, is Sams's boyfriend. Yes, Pete is back. And I know the show is trying hard, but htis guy just gives me a creepy aura. He's still the stalker boyfriend to me. Oh... of all the boyfriends of Sams NOT to kill off....

Anyways, I liked it. I give it a weak thumbs up.

The writers did say they wanted to reintroduce the rogue NID elements again. Expect Kinsey to show up later this season. Lot of Jack and Sam shippy fans are upset over Pete, but lets see where it goes. It's going to be hard for the Pete character to escape the creepy "stalker" label he got from the Chimera episode. Lot of plot holes in Affinity, but it looks like the writers are doing more indepth character development and showing more of the characters personal lives this season.
