For those of you that are playing or have played the BSG game, we are honored to have in our midst, James Swallow. He did some of the story and dialog for the new BSG game!

Please lets all make him feel welcomed here!

Welcome James!

Kristi

Howdie James. I've already got a question for you;

When will the video game be available for Nintendo Game Cube?

I have a wonderful idea for a game that would parallel the demographic for customers of GTA. It is not the conventional criminal plot. It doesn't offend post 9/11 sensibilities, but will piss off certain environmentalist. Kind of buzz that will sell itself.

That we are very lucky that someone like Mr. Swallow, would choose to grace our boards. So I am asking you all to remain courteous to him and to show him respect.

Thanks!

Kristi ;)

As far as I know, there are no plans at present to port the title over to the GameCube platform.

I'm sure a PC port is possible, but again I'm not aware of any plans for one.

Mr. Swallow,

I have a question. I have been reading some of the other posts on the new game, and have heard that the mission with Apollo and Starbuck did not make the game? Can you confirm this? Or if it on there, can you hint at where it is? I am sure other gamers would love to know this information.

And welcome to the Colonial Fleets!:D

Hey gang,

Glad to see the site back up again.

Just FYI, I've updated the section of my own website covering the Battlestar Galactica game with some new pages, including the script from the "lost" time-travel mission featuring Starbuck and Apollo, a reference guide and some cheat codes for folks who are finding the game a little tough.

posting this to news for you James: I think we ALL want to read that missing subplot.

VU Games and Playstation lost my business when they didn't include that sequence. I'd have learned to play a video game JUST to get to that.

:edit: I read it & I really would've happly bought a PS2 and the game to get to hear that. Missed opportunity....argh.

At times when I had given up hope of making it through a mission, the thought of playing alongside Apollo and Starbuck gave me inspiration to keep trying. Low and behold nothing. James that was one heck of a script for the bonus mission which I read on your site.

They're both in the game as unlockable wingmen - in fact I've been playing with them as my top cover and they're both as good pilots as you'd expect!

I have to admit, I got a real kick out of hearing Dirk and Richard reprise their roles in the game - and I made sure that there's a few lines that echo the original series in there (although try as I might, I couldn't find a place to put "They're waggling!" in there...)

Hello, James.

I bought Battlestar Galactica a few months ago, and all I can say is WOW! The game is incredible...if a bit tough at times.

I have it on PS2...and I do hope it gets ported to PC, with one addition...Onilne play. I would love to get into a furball with other players online...Colonials vs. Cylons. Cylons vs. Cylons. Coloinals Vs. Colonials.

Anyhoo..it is an excellent game...and one that I am hard put to let go of. Are there any plans for a future BSG game?

Respectfully, and with much appreciation,
Martok2112 :salute:

Thanks for your comments, Chancellor!

As I've said elsewhere in the thread, there are no plans to port the game to other platforms at present; as for a future game, I guess that's up to Vivendi Universal, but who knows? Maybe if the new series does well...

James!

I just want to thank you and the rest of the team for putting in Apollo and Starbuck! I found the code to get them and that has made the game 100% better!

Even though I still suck at it!

The game music was the best. I still can't get it out of my head after months of non play. One of the added bonuses was Space Above and Beyond music in two of the missions, the one with the alien ship and the final mission where Adama kills the Imperious leader.
